Let's get HHH back on the road!
Submitted by souls_edge on 12 September, 2006 - 21:02.The idea of HHH sounds great and I am sorry that I missed the past ten years of it. The organisation now seems to be in its death throes and looks like it has been for some time. But this not need be the case! Who is out there? where are you bored and lonely alcoholics? Social misfits? And unstable expats? Let's get a census of who still visits this site, who is in Almaty and who would like to restart weekly or bi-weekly get-togethers?
I'm here. Can you see my hand going up. That's one.
Do I hear two?
Is the HHH still active? I want to join! ;-)
Submitted by souls_edge on 12 September, 2006 - 17:08.Hello fellow Almaty expats and other HHH !
I am a 28 year old Australian recently moved to Almaty to live and work (or vice versa) and I am looking for a (slightly crazy and demented) social outlet. After being surrounded by non-English speaking teachers and rich git students all day I need to wind down at the end of the week and ... well... the HHH sounds like a perfect excuse to get pissed (o elegantly intoxicated).
The posts all seem pretty old on this board though and there are no upcoming events. Is the HHH still active? Surely it can't be that hard to get half a dozen or more people together to drink and have fun? Anyway, I would love to join if you'll have me? You can check out my photos at www.pbase.com/souls_edge
When is the next event? And what exactly do you guys do?
Thanks!

FOR SALE - RARE HASH RELIQUIAE
Submitted by Temir Dick on 5 September, 2006 - 10:11.New owner for the Hash stuff wanted!
Dear all! as I have no more opportunity to store some TienShanHHH stuff:
- Hash Horn - good condition, with some expluatation consequences, sounds still crazy.
- Hash Statistics archive - paper and CD versions available
- Hash broshures (about 50 pcs) - as it was the only HHH ad for last 2 years I suggest you do know what I mean
- Didital Dlido's green shorts - this is the most valuable stuff with the TienShanHHH smell
Just to cover the storage expenses for 2 years I will sell this bid for 10 mugs of TienShan beer in Stalker Cafe. I'll be glad to share this 10 mugs with new owner of the stuff as a 50% off
If interested, please contact me on atretyakov@kib.kz, +7 701 714 01 41

suggestion for future hares
Submitted by eata my pussy on 15 December, 2005 - 05:36.Hello fellow hashers!
I wanted to give you some advice: the hares here in Rome put the flour inside bottles (dry and empty of course) using a funnel, which are easier to carry and to use when setting the hash! You then close them, but make a hole on the cap of the bottle, then to release the flour you just have to either move the bottle or press it.
Even though I have to admit I just looooove to be covered in white stains as a distinctive sign of being a hare.... But for people who are normal, it might be nice to have found a way to be a hare and still be clean!!!!
I set the hash the other day here in Rome, with 17/20 from Australia who has hashed in many countries, and I commented about the concern some people in Almaty have voiced about spilling flour (equivalent to food) on the floor. Well, there is a very simple replacement material for whenever it is not windy: shredded paper!!! You just need to have many hashers working in offices that use shredders, and gather the bags of shredded paper. In the example 17/20 gave me, the office was an embassy which made sure the shredder was super good, I don't remember the measurement of the shredded piece but you have to be sure that anyone finding the small bits of paper and with nothing else better to do would not be able to reconstruct the originals!
The good thing about the shredded paper, is that when it rains it does not dissolve and disappear, but converts into a very noticeable solid blob!
ON ON!
